Ratcliffe Fowler Design asked threemenoneshed to redesign their agency website to be a more intuitive and interactive experience and one that allows the user to view the substantial work they have created for a whole host of clients. This includes work ranging from the print based solutions of corporate identity, direct mail, literature and other printed collateral to the 3 dimensional work of exhibition design, retail graphics and retail installations.
The site was specifically designed to allow the user to view agencies work in two ways. The first allows the user to view the clients the agency works for and in doing so allows them to see the range of work they produce for each of these clients. The second method allows the user to view the agencies work through a section titled disciplines, this shows the different clients and the respective examples the agency has produced a specific type of work with.
As well as the standard client portfolio and disciplines section of the agency website an important part that the company wanted to portray was the story of the company and the company culture. A philosophy that is based on simple, clean, aesthetic yet sophisticated design and which is a philosophy that has allowed this Leicester Design agency to deliver graphic solutions to a whole host of international clients.
It was this philosophy that dictated the way threemenoneshed approached the project from the original brief, the site has been designed using flash technology and a unique loading system that allows for incredibly fast delivery of the sites content compared to similarly designed sites. The design and creation of a structured grid within the framework of the site to visually manage the content along with dynamically driven pages for the news and recruitment sections to allow for easy administration of the content within these sections make the site an aesthetic yet highly sophisticated piece of design.
The dynamic news section that Ratcliffe Fowler wanted as part of the site development has been designed to be integrated with a quarterly newsletter that is electronically delivered and distributed to its client database. This has allowed threemenoneshed to design and develop electronic stationary, which enables the company to take control of every piece of communication to their existing and potential clients and ensure that is branded in the correct way. The technical design of the stationary also allowed us to link the brief descriptions of the articles in the newsletter with the more in depth articles based on the website.
What the client said:
“We can all have the ideas, but how do we make it happen? threemenoneshed have been an essential part of our business over the last year, through their understanding and implementation of new media initiatives.
We have found them invaluable as a design partner with pitch proposals and developing existing business, filling and expanding a skills gap that is an essential part of any multi-disciplinary agency offer.”
